Flance Fest 2026
The Block Party celebration of the year — and Flance’s largest fundraiser — returns June 5th this year. This completely free event features live music, make-and-take art and crafts, delicious food and lots of family fun. This year’s Pinwheel of Excellence Honoree will be PNC Bank, who is being honored for their commitment to championing children at Flance, across St. Louis and beyond.

Flance closes early today at 3PM for professional development. All parents are encouraged to arrive by 2:45PM.
Wishing Well Ceremony
Mark your calendars for this year's Wishing Well Ceremony on Thursday, May 28th at 3PM. We’ll celebrate Flance kiddos transitioning to kindergarten and other programs.

Appy Hour with Nine PBS
Join us Wednesday, April 29th at 4PM at Flance Early Learning Center to learn more about Nine PBS's educational media offerings for children and grab a take-home food box while you're here.
Family Fun Friday with Urban Harvest
Join us as we plant some spring flowers in our on-site garden with our friends and partners at Urban Harvest STL. Family Fun Fridays are part of our PACE program (Parent And Child Engagement), which aims to build a sense of community, resources, and readily available help and togetherness here at Flance.
Advocacy Luncheon
Flance will host our Fifth Annual Advocacy Luncheon at the St. Louis Women’s Club courtesy of dear friends and current and former board members Alison Ferring and Karen Shaughnessy. This event will feature a delicious lunch and presentation from Deaconess Foundation President and CEO Bethany Johnson-Javois. The Event is free but RSVP’s are required. Week of the Young Child
Each April, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) invites educators, families, and communities to come together for the Week of the Young Child® (WOYC)—a joyful celebration of early learning, young children, and the adults who support them. Flance will be participating with fun activities throughout the week that correspond with each day's theme. Be on the lookout for cute photos and ask your kiddos what extra activities they may have engaged in each day.
Family Fun Friday
Family Fun Fridays occur monthly at Flance and aim to promote parent/child engagement while also providing time for fellow Flance parents to connect with one another. Themes change monthly. Watch this space, emails, Flance screens, and your Procare account for further details.

Infant Massage
Join Flance in our community room for this free opportunity to receive infant massage training from our certified educators. Infant Massage promotes bonding and offers several proven health benefits for the baby.
Family Friday
Family Fridays are Flance’s way of bringing our parents and children together to engage, and bringing Flance parents together with other Flance parents in moments of learning and pure fun. Each month features a different theme. This month we’ll explore artistic activities and creativity. Please plan extra time at pick-up to stay and enjoy the fun.

Spirit Week
Bust out your hearts, favorite sports team attire and more for a love-filled spirit week. All Flance families are welcome to encourage their kiddos to participate. Get creative and camera-ready and join in the fun.
Holiday Happy Hour and Drop & Shop Kickoff
Calling all Friends of Flance — do you know someone who might like to become involved with Flance, whether through volunteering, philanthropy, board or committee work or otherwise? This Holiday Happy Hour is the perfect opportunity to invite them along and introduce them to the great work we all do together on behalf of children and families. F.A.M. Fest
Join us for our fifth annual Food, Arts and Music Festival as we celebrate the beautiful array of cultures represented here at Flance, throughout the city and around the world. Enjoy delicious food, live performances and plenty of family fun. This event is free to attend for both families and community.
Pre-K Field Trip to Grant's Farm
Our pre-k kids are off for some fall fun at Grant’s Farm! Parents are welcome as chaperones. Please speak with your child’s educators if you would like more information.
Cocktails for Kids Back to School Fundraiser
Join us for an evening of fun connection for a great cause as we kick off a new school year.

Family Friday FOAM PARTY
This was such a hit last summer we've been asked many times since by parents and staff if it can happen again -- and it is. Come prepared to get foamy and bring an extra towel(s) for the car ride home.
International Mud Day at Flance
Join us for all the messy fun on the playground as we embrace outdoor fun and play in the messiest way. Parents are welcome. Please come prepared to get muddy!
Flance Fest 2025
The block party of the summer returns again Friday, June 6th from 3PM to 6PM at Flance as we bring together families, friends and community for this completely FREE circus-themed festival featuring performance art, music, arts and crafts, a bounce house, food and fun. Wish You Well Graduation Ceremony

4th Annual Flance Advocacy Luncheon
Please join us for a delicious FREE meal as we get informed and inspired by guest speaker Casey Hanson, Deputy Director at Kids Win Missouri. Casey will speak on the theme “Where the Wild Things Are:” How advocates can remain resilient amid unpredictable changes. This is a great opportunity for ECE advocates, career professionals, volunteers, and all those passionate about early childhood education to come together, learn, network, and have fun. What is Friends of Flance? It's a free affinity group for STL professionals, volunteers, creatives, and others passionate about making a difference for our city's youngest learners. We're seeking ambassadors for Flance who want to network and have a great time while also helping share the Flance story throughout the community.
