Flance Early Learning Center is a licensed and accredited early education center and Green Ribbon School located on the near north side of St. Louis. We provide a comprehensive approach to early education, one that embodies the physical, intellectual, and social-emotional needs of young children, with an overall goal of kindergarten readiness and future academic success.

Head Start

All families living in St. Louis City and County are welcome to apply. Early Head Start serves children between ages six weeks to 35 months (3 years old). Head Start serves 3 to 5-year-olds.

Priority is given to families who meet specific income guidelines; are working or attending school; receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF); or are in a job training program.

Please call (314) 881-0881 with questions about eligibility. Homeless children and foster children are automatically eligible for Early Head Start and Head Start.

Tuition rates are based on the age of the child attending Flance Center. We provide subsidized and scholarship tuition to qualifying families through Head Start or DSS.

Tuition

Flance supports children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old with the following age groups & ratios:

Infant (6 weeks - 17 months) - 4:1

Toddler (18 months - 35 months) - 4:1

Pre-K (3 years - 6 years) - 10:1

Age & Group Ratios

Flance is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm

Core Hours for Head Start / Early Head Start are 8:30am to 3:00 pm
