We are pleased to announce that The Flance Early Learning Center will be offering cooking and gardening classes for our families. Beginning June 8th, 2016 through December 14th, 2016, Flance and HOSCO will be hosting these classes on-site. This program is made possible by the generosity of Barnes Jewish Hospital, HOSCO, and Urban Strategies. We are grateful for their support.
The HOSCO's "children-focused" cooking and gardening classes will:
- Introduce youth to the pleasures of preparing and enjoying "real food".
- Learn the joy of eating and cooking with fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Teach children how to become empowered and conscious consumers.
The cooking and gardening classes will be held on Wednesdays at The Flance Early Learning Center. The gardening classes will be held during the school day and the cooking classes will be in the late afternoon.
For our Flance families interested in participating, please feel free to contact the Development Associate, Michelle Ochsner at firstname.lastname@example.org or 314.881.0856.
This program is supported by: HOSCO, Barnes Jewish Hospital and Urban Strategies.
